Everett 65 McConnellsburg 37

The Lady Spartans (1-3, 0-2 SHL, 0-2 ICC) lost a home game to Everett tonight 37-65. Katelyn Truax scored 15 points with 9 rebounds, Kellyn Perry scored 9 points, with 10 rebounds, and Carrie Glee scored 5 points, had 3 steals and 3 rebounds . The next game for McConnellsburg will be at Northern Bedford on Friday, December 22.

Southern Fulton 35 Northern Bedford 28

The Lady Indians (2-2, 2-1 SHL, 1-1 ICC) traveled to Northern Bedford and picked up a league win over the Black Panthers 35-28. Ava Hull led the team with 11 points. Jessie Covalt added 9 points and 11 rebounds, Drew Gordon had 5 steals, and Lindsey Hollenshead added 4 assists in the win. SF Coach Meagan Mellott said, “Both teams tonight played hard, aggressive defense. Scoring was a struggle all around, so it really came down to defense and rebounding. I think our girls battled on the glass and it paid off.” The Lady Indians will host Tussey Mountain on Thursday, December 21. JV Score- SF 35- NBC 23

Tussey Mountain 47 Forbes Road 21

Forbes Road (3-1, 2-1 SHL, 1-1 ICC) traveled to Tussey Mountain and suffered their first loss of the year. Lady Cardinals Coach Jamie Gelvin said, “Tussey Mountain is a good team that shot the lights out tonight.  They also killed us on the boards. When a team hits 7 three pointers and out-rebounds you it’s tough to win.” Courtney Schoen led the Lady Cardinals with 9 points. Forbes Road will host Southern Huntingdon on Thursday, December 21. There was no JV game.

Fannett Metal 51 Southern Huntingdon 48

The Fannett-Metal Lady Tigers (2-2, 2-1 SHL, 2-1 ICC) were able to overcome a 4 point halftime deficit to defeat Southern Huntingdon 51-48.  The game saw several lead changes in the 4th quarter.  The Tigers were able to secure the win in part by going 10-16 from the foul line in the 4th quarter.  The Tigers had scoring from Ally Hoffmann 15, Katie Johns 12, Taylor Coffman 7,Morgan Ritchey 7, Brynn Hartman 6, and Katlynn Ritchey 4.  Katie Johns also added 14 rebounds. The next game for the Lady Tigers will be on Thursday at Everett.
