McConnellsburg (0-2, 0-1 SHL, 0-1 ICC) traveled to Southern Huntingdon and dropped a league game to the Rockets 49-44. The Lady Spartans were led by Katelyn Truax with 20 points, 4 steals, 3 blocks, and 14 rebounds. Kellyn Perry scored 13 points and 15 rebounds and Samantha Hensley had 6 points and 4 rebounds. McConnellsburg will host Shalom Christian Academy in their next game on Monday.

The Lady Cardinals (3-0) outscored JCS 19-2 in the first half and cruised to a 37-17 non league victory. Maddy Miller led the Cardinals with 10 points. Lady Cardinals Coach Jamie Gelvin said, “We started slow tonight but ended up coming around in the second quarter.  Both Maddy Miller and Hannah Skiles shot the ball well tonight.  Our defense also did a great job creating turnovers and getting steals.  Mara Broadwater did all the little things we needed from her to get the W. (5pts, 8 rebouds and 5 Steals)” The Cardinals travel to Tussey Mountain on Tuesday, December 19. There was no JV game.
