Chestnut Ridge 60 Southern Fulton 42

The Indians (1-1, 1-1 SHL) hosted a very talented Chestnut Ridge Team and dropped a Sideling Hill League contest match 60-42. Brandon Lynch lead the Indians with 10 points. Noah Dillon scored a game high for the Lions who improve to 2-1 for the season. Indian Coach Kent Hendershot commented, “We got beat by a better, stronger, and more athletic team tonight.  We were able to compete for 1/2, but I think we just wore down, mentally and physically, and it snowballed onus.” Southern Fulton will host NBC Monday night in its next contest.SF won the JV contest 68-25 – Isaac Fitz led SF with 13pts.

Northern Bedford 53 Forbes Road 51

The Cardinals (1-2, 0-2 SHL, 0-1 ICC) traveled to Northern Bedford and dropped a thriller 53-51. NBC scored off an inbounds play with 3 seconds left for the victory. Brycen Hohman led all scorers with 29 points. Grayson Hall added 15. The Cardinals host Tussey Mountain on Monday evening. JV FR 37- NBC 34 – Shane Schepis, 16 points

Southern Huntingdon 58 McConnellsburg 39

The Spartans (0-1, 0-1 SHL, 0-1 ICC) dropped their home opener to Southern Huntingdon 58-39. Dominick Reed led the Spartans with a game high 22 points. Spartan Coach Drew Washabaugh commented, “We have to keep our composure. We got behind in the second half and couldn’t climb back into the game.  We aren’t going to win many games shooting 23% either.” The Spartans return to action on Monday at Everett. JV SH 41- MHS 37 Damon Knepper 10 points and Garrett Bunch 8 points.

Tussey Mountain 62 Fannett Metal 52

The Tigers (0-2, 0-2 SHL, 0-2 ICC) went on the road and were outscored 14-4 in overtime by Tussey Mountain and dropped a league contest 62-52. Tiger Assistant Coach Tony Brookens commented, “We had a chance to put them away at the end of regulation but just didn’t  execute.” Lucas Wingert was leading scorer for FM with 26 and Matthew Leonard was the leading scorer for Tussey with 24. The Tigers return to action on December 18, at Southern Huntingdon.
