Shippensburg dropped a non-league home game to Spring Grove 40-33 when they weren’t able to hold onto the lea din the final quarter.

Shippensburg fell behind 18-11 in the opening quarter but rallied behind their defense and were able to take a 33-32 lead after the third period.

Unfortunately, the Greyhounds couldn’t complete the victory as the Rockets outscored the Greyhounds 13-5 in the final eight minutes.

Mariah Martin led the ‘Hounds with 12 points and Emelie Nonemaker added seven to the Greyhound cause. Kara Newell scored six but the ‘Hounds couldn’t hit enough shots to win the game. They hit four three-point shots but only made eight other shots.
