Trojans’ win streak reaches 223: Chambersburg had four players score 83 or better and defeated Northern York by 26 strokes to capture a Mid Penn Colonial Division golf match on Thursday at its home course, Penn National Founders. Austin Schreffler (Northern) shot 75 and Ben Smith (West Perry) had 76 for the best two scores, but three Trojans followed — Grayson Hopple (78), Karsen Rush (79) and Mary Kate Norcross (80). Spencer Rajtik was tied for 10th with an 83. James Buchanan placed third as Zach Devotie had an 80; Waynesboro was fifth as Devin Smith shot 82; Shippensburg was sixth, led by Adam Maring’s 82; and Greencastle-Antrim was led by an 87 by Amanda Steier.
Central Dauphin 5, Chambersburg 0: The Rams took care of the Trojans (0-3) in straight sets in each match. Hope Sprecher at No. 2 singles and the No. 2 doubles team of Alexis Parra and Julianne Grove each scored four games in their matches for Chambersburg.
