LD (13-1-5) will host No. 1 seed Hempfield (8-8-1) in the quarterfinals on Saturday at Kreider-Hallman Field.

Chambersburg finished its season with a 9-8-1 record.

“We knew we had to play well today to beat LD and we just didn’t have our best game,” Trojan coach Marc Furfaro said. “Their star players stepped up in a big way and put a few in the back of the net early in the second half. We kept battling until the end.”

Cardson Ymonnice was able to pull back one goal for Chambersburg, but it wasn’t enough.

Fuarfaro said, “I’m very proud of the boys this season. It was a tough schedule and we had some key injuries, but we never lost the belief. Just an amazing group of guys. It was an honor getting to coach these guys this year.”
