Nathan Chambers

The opponent: You can be sure that Cougar coach Calvin Everett is telling his team to not overlook the Trojans, because it is a trap game situation — in the final 2 weeks of the season, Harrisburg plays at Bishop McDevitt (top 5 in the state) and at State College (No. 3 in the state) … The Cougars average 48 points per game and allow 9.4 … On offense, the QB is Kayden Stevens (78-for-126, 61.9%, 1,368 yards, 16 TDs and 2 picks) … The lead runner is Princeton Dent (130-767, 5.9 avg., 16 TDs) … The top receivers are Jaiyon Lewis (32-634, 9 TDs); Trays Walker (18-247, 3 TDs) and Keijuan Sinkler (13-240, 3 TDs) … Kayson Judge has 54 tackles and Jeremy Beroa Bachiller has 50 … Tu’ron Dennis has 6.5 sacks and Lewis has 3 interceptions.
Coach’s viewpoint: Chambersburg coach Gary Carter said, “They are running the ball a little more this year, and Dent is a hammer, running behind a big line. The QB can throw it around, and they have some speedy and elusive receivers. We just have to play our best and be prepared if something bad happens. They’re always tough on defense. They’ll play zero coverage and come after you. We have to be able to handle their pressure and keep them off-balance.”
Unsung: Outside LB Nate Chambers … Last week, Chambers lived in the Carlisle backfield, making 5 tackles for a loss … Carter said, “He was really aggressive and made a lot of plays for us.”
Trojan statistics: The Trojans are scoring 15 points per game and allowing 21.4 … Passing — Cam Green 48-for-77 (62.3%), 804 yards, 9 TDs, 2 int.; Justin Deneen 52-91 (57.4%), 626 yards, 5 TDs, 0 int. … Rushing — Malachi Tasker 112-371 (3.3 avg.), 1 TD … Receiving — Jashaun Palmer 26-565, 5 TDs; Lucas Ocker 17-289, 4 TDs; Isaiah Ferguson 14-207, 2 TDs; Tasker 11-112; Seth Gilliam 15-112, 1 TD … Tackles — Deakon Snavely 76; Gilliam 56; Colton Horst 48; Devon Nalewak 38; Mason Mowen 37.

GREENCASTLE-ANTRIM AT TRINITY
Game data: The Devils take to the road to take on the Shamrocks at COBO Field on Friday, 7 p.m. … Mid Penn Colonial game … Live stream on MidPennBroadcasting.com.
Last week: Greencastle (4-2, 3-3 MPC) suffered a tough 27-19 loss to Milton Hershey … Trinity (4-3, 3-1 MPC) romped over Boiling Springs, 38-0.

Gavin Logsdon

The opponent: Last year, the Shamrocks were 11-4, won District 3 in Class 3A and advanced to the PIAA semifinals before being knocked out by Northwestern Lehigh … Trinity lost a lot to graduation and is a bit younger this season … The quarterback is Makai George (43-77, 534 yards, 3 TDs, 5 int.) … The lead back is Brandon Harris (75-636, 8.5 avg., 8 TDs) … The top receivers are Mason Noeker (12-205, 4 TDs) and Nick Sweppenhiser (12-127) … Sweppenhiser also has 3 interceptions on defense, as does Crosby Johnson … Harris leads in tackles with 45, while Adam Dalton has made 5 sacks.
Coach’s viewpoint: G-A coach Jason Thurston said, “It’s a simple game plan this week — we have to tackle No. 1 (Harris). He’s a bruiser (6-1, 230). If we can’t tackle him, we don’t win. But if we limit him and force them to do some other things, then we have a chance. They run some iso’s and gap schemes, and it’s obvious what they’re doing, but knowing where they’re going and stopping it are two different things. So we have to tackle better this week. It was a disappointing loss last week, but I was telling somebody that losses are where you learn about yourself and grow. And we had a lot of learning opportunities last week. We’re still alive in terms of the playoffs, but we’d have to win two of the last three games to even have a shot, which makes this a really big game.”
Unsung: QB Gavin Logsdon … Thurston said, “We put a lot on his shoulders, and he played well. He did a nice job.”
Blue Devil statistics: Passing — Logsdon 45-83 (54.2%), 605 yards, 5 TDs, 1 int. … Rushing — Spencer Long 70-512 (7.2 avg.), 9 TDs; Landon Kagarise 40-222 (5.6 avg.), 4 TDs … Receiving — Wyatt Hull 13-284, 2 TDs; Long 8-115, 1 TD … Tackles — Elijah Ambrose 38, Dom Angelini 32, Luke Hull 30 … Tackles for loss — Loki Huffman 9, Zachary Russell 8, Ben Jansen 7 … Sacks — Russell 4.5, Huffman 3.5.
