Greencastle-Antrim 3, Gettysburg 2: In a Mid Penn Colonial road game Thursday night, the Blue Devils found themselves down 2-1 against the Warriors, but battled back with a 15-9 win in the fifth game to earn the victory.

Greencastle (5-4, 4-2 MPC) won the second and fourth games, 25-22 and 25-23, while Gettysburg took games 1 and 3 (25-19 and 25-17).

Hayden Baer had a big match statistically for the Blue Devils, with 18 kills on 36 attempts, 11 service points and 6 aces. Avery Watson was also a huge factor at the service line with 22 points and 6 aces.

Jordyn Wagner collected 8 kills and 10 digs, Chloe Young knocked down 7 kills and added 3 blocks, Kira Johnson had 20 assists and 8 digs, Scarlett Norton came up with 9 digs, Madison McDonald contributed 7 digs and Terryn Bard totaled 20 assists.

Gettysburg 3, Greencastle-Antrim 0: The Blue Devils had a 4-game win streak halted by the Warriors in a Mid Penn Colonial contest on Thursday on the road.

“It was a frustrating loss tonight,” Greencastle coach Keara Allshouse said. “The team worked hard, but we just couldn’t finish.”

For the Blue Devils (5-3, 4-2 MPC), goalie Katy Bream made 7 saves and defender Maggie Spidel made a defensive save.
