State College 18, Chambersburg 5: The Trojans ran into a tough opponent and suffered a Mid Penn Commonwealth defeat Monday night at Trojan Stadium.
“The guys played hard,” Chambersburg coach Joe Wilmot said. “State College is just a really good team.”
Everett Wetherald, the Trojan goalie, had a busy night, stopping 24 Little Lion shots, which is a school record for saves.
Ryan Cosey scored 2 goals for Chambersburg (8-6, 7-6 MPC) — which had won 3 straight games — Blake Dupont added a pair of goals, Braylen Davis scored once and Tavian Ferguson picked up a pair of assists.
State College is 12-1 (11-0 MPC).
