SF Indians Use Great Performance From 2 Pitchers To Defeat Rappahannock Raiders

Southern Fulton (7-1, 1-1) traveled to Rappahannock Virginia and defeated the previously unbeaten Rappahannock Raiders 2-0 on Friday at Rappahannock High School. Two Indian pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Cam Cain and Colt Mann each pitched for the Indians in the game. Mann induced a groundout from Chase Self to get the final out to knot his second save of the season.

Both teams were strong on the hill as the Indian pitchers struck out eight, while Rappahannock fanned 12.

The Indians were the first to get on the board in the sixth when Austin Mann singled, scoring one run.

Cam Cain earned the win for the Indians. The Jr.  hurler allowed six hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out six and walking none. Dayne Keyser took the loss for Rappahannock Raiders. The right-handed pitcher went six and two-thirds innings, giving up two runs (zero earned) on five hits, striking out 11 and walking two.

Mann and Mann each collected two hits for SoFo Indians. Mann and Mann each drove in one run for SoFo.

Leadoff hitter Dan Morrison led Rappahannock Raiders with two hits in four at bats.

SoFo will take on the Raiders again on Saturday at noon.
