SoFo Indians Take Lead And Never Look Back In Win Over the Tussey Mountain Titans

The SF Indians (5-1, 0-1) easily dispatched Tussey Mountain on Wednesday at Southern Fulton Junior/Senior High School, 15-0.

The Indians jumped out to a big lead in the bottom of the first inning after Paul Hendershot singled, scoring one run, Owen Oakman doubled, scoring one run, Brooks Norris singled, scoring two runs, Kaden Saunders doubled, scoring one run, and Brady Dressel singled, scoring one run.

The  Indians extended their lead to 10-0 with four runs in the bottom of the second thanks to RBI singles by Saunders and Dressel.

SoFo scored five runs on six hits in the bottom of the third inning to end the game.  Austin Mann doubled, scoring two runs, Norris singled, scoring one run, Saunders doubled, scoring one run, and Colt Mann doubled, scoring one run.

Sr, Kaden Saunders (3-0) earned the win for the Indians. The hurler surrendered two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out one and walking one. Owen Miller took the loss for Tussey Mountain. The hurler went one and two-thirds innings, giving up 10 runs on nine hits, striking out none and walking three.

The  Indians piled up 15 hits in the game. Saunders, the number seven hitter for, led the way with four runs batted in. The pitcher went 3-for-3 on the day. Norris, Colt Mann, Hendershot, Austin Mann, and Dressel each collected multiple hits for SoFo.

SoFo will travel to Willow Hill to take on Fannett-Metal for their next game on Tuesday at 4:30pm.
