Trojans pick up 2 wins: Audrey Keller and Ave Grove had very productive meets and the Trojans defeated Northern York (115-61) and Trinity (106-69) in a non-league tri-meet Thursday afternoon in Dillsburg.
Grove picked up wins in the 200 IM in 2:22.06 (a PR) and the 500 freestyle in 6:06.47, while Keller placed first in the 50 free in 26.48 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:15.90.
Those two were also members of two winning relays — the 200 medley relay in 2:01.13 (with Calla Hoffman and Brooke Reichelderfer) and the 400 free relay in 4:00.75 (with Addie Zimmerman and Hoffman).
“Having several event winners was good for motivation,” Chambersburg coach Abbie Reichelderfer said. “I think we are all swimming extremely well regardless of being tired, and this meet proves it.”
Reichelderfer noted PR’s by Graciana Clark (200 free), Lakin Lescalleet (50 free) and Jade Uglow in two events (100 free, 100 breaststroke).
“Jade continues to drop in every single meet,” Reichelderfer said. “We have a few meets before the postseason and I am expecting a lot more time drops from a lot of individuals before then.”

GIRLS WRESTLING
Chambersburg 57, Central Dauphin East 12: The Trojans posted 4 pins, won 5 bouts by forfeit and got a huge win at 190 to trip the Panthers in a Mid Penn Conference match Thursday night at the CASHS Aux Gym.
“What a great way to end our home matches this year,” Chambersburg coach Josh Sherman said. “It was a fun night of wrestling. Our young wrestlers continued to show progress, with first-year freshman Sidney Butler kicking the night off with a crowd-pleasing pin.”
The marquee match came at 190 pounds, with the Trojans’ Aulana Stanton (18-1) facing Ashley Coulange (15-1) of East (3-8) — both were regional qualifiers last year. Stanton led 6-2 after one period by taking her opponent down twice. Coulange hit a takedown in the second, followed by a Stanton reversal that left the score 8-5.
Sherman said, “Coulange took neutral in the third and after about 1:30 of hard hand fighting, Stanton got in on a low single. Things got a bit chippy when Coulange kicked Aulana, giving her a penalty points and it ended 9-5.
“Aulana showed herself well and kept her composure, getting a big-time win in a big-time match. Those two might wrestle again in two weeks at sectionals.”
Scoring pins for Chambersburg (12-5) were Butler (112), Piper Jones (130), Reagan Evans (136) and Alba Rojas (142).
