Spring Grove 43, Chambersburg 21: The unbeaten Rockets ran off all 7 of their victories in a span of 8 bouts, to defeat the Trojans in a non-league road match on Monday night.

Spring Grove, now 19-0, had 4 pins and a major decision among their wins.

For the Trojans (4-4), Hunter Johnson opened the match at 107 pounds with a pin in 48 seconds. Nathan Chambers picked up the only Chambersburg win in the Rockets’ run, a 9-2 decision.

The Trojans captured wins in each of the final 3 bouts. Jaccob Stoner was taken down twice in the first two periods by Cameron Hershey and trailed 6-3. But Stoner’s takedown in the third helped tie the match 7-7 and in sudden victory, another Stoner takedown won the decision, 10-7.

Deakon Snavely continued a recent hot streak by scoring a pin in 2:23 at 215, and at 285, Omar Hanchey, filling in for Frank Barrientos, picked up a 7-1 decision.

Manheim Township 43, Chambersburg 25: The Trojans didn’t break out of a scoring funk until the fourth quarter and dropped a non-league contest against the Blue Streaks on Monday night at CASHS Field House.

Chambersburg (1-13) scored 4 points total in each of the first three quarters, then put in 13 in the fourth.

“We played well for 24 minutes, but unfortunately the game is 32 minutes,” Trojan coach Jamiur King said. “Manheim Township is a very good team that pressures the ball really well. And we struggled at times to manage their pressure.”

Maddie Mills scored 11 points for Chambersburg, while Ellie Rife and Ayla Whiteley split 6 points evenly.

For the Blue Streaks (12-3) got 20 points from Ciniya Robinson, including 11 in the second period.
