BOYS WRESTLING
Trojans place 6th: Chambersburg participated in the 38-team Southern Tier Memorial Tournament in Elmira, N.Y. last weekend and took 6th place as a team, with 5 wrestlers placing in the top 6 in their weight class.
Jaccob Stoner (190 pounds) and Frank Barrientos (285) both reached the finals and were dealt defeats. Barrientos lost a tight one, 1-0 to Eoghan Savage of Upper Dauphin, while Stoner fell 12-0 to Jackson Long of Bellefonte.
Barrientos had 4 pins before the final match, including one in 10 seconds.
Also placing were Justin Deneen (4th at 144), Deakon Snavely (5th at 215) and Omar Hanchey (6th at 215).
