BOYS BASKETBALL

McConnellsburg 63, Shalom Christian Academy 29.  The Spartans visited the Shalom Christian Academy Flames on January 11^th in a non-conference matchup and held them scoreless in the third while piling on 19 points to cruise to a 34-point victory.  The Flames were down 10 after the first quarter and another nine at the half.   

During the third quarter, the Spartans maintained total control while the Flames struggled with their shooting and the Spartan team continued to score. In the fourth quarter, after the Spartans replaced their starters, the Flames managed to improve somewhat.

Three Spartans were in double scoring figures including one triple-double and two double-doubles.  Jake Hann had a hot hand d-d with 15 points (shooting 4-4 2FG and 7-8 FT) and 11 rebounds.  Hoyt Glenn, with another great night, posted a first of a t-d with 14 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists (and 8 steals).  Shaffer Earley’s d-d added 11 points (shooting 2-2 2FG and 4-4 FT) and 10 boards.  Brayden Ramsey added nine points and Jace Fletcher had eight.  McConnellsburg (10-0, 3-0 ICC-S) now has won 11 straight and won eight matchups by 27 points or more this season.  

Shalom’s Drake Wenger led with six points while Jack Meyera and Jesi Jetrarayan each added five.
