BOYS WRESTLING
Blue Devils place 4th: Greencastle-Antrim went 3-3 at the Juniata Duals Tournament on Saturday, with four of those matches very close, and took 4th place in the seven-team event.

The Blue Devils captured wins over Claysburg-Kimmel (66-0), Juniata (39-36) and Southern Huntingdon (39-33), while dropping matches against Montgomery (49-13) and one-point losses to Lewisburg (36-35) and West Branch (33-32).

Greencastle had a pair of wrestlers keep a clean sheet all day — Damien Johns was 6-0 with 3 pins and Aiden Crouse was 5-0 with 3 falls.

Also achieving winning records for Greencastle (10-4), were Kahl Cordell (5-1, 3 pins); Ben Jansen (5-1, 3 pins); Chance Zimmerman (5-1); Jackson Polifka (4-1); Landon Hinkle (4-2, 3 pins); and Kevin Hoffpauer (4-2).

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Delone Catholic 58, Greencastle-Antrim 29: A tough full-court man-to-man defense by the Squirettes gave them a halftime lead, then a 21-10 advantage in the third salted away the win over the Blue Devils in a non-league game Saturday afternoon.

“We were still in it down 12, but they pulled away in the third quarter, getting some easier baskets against our press,” Greencastle coach Scott McKeever said. We played hard and kept fighting for all 32 minutes.

“Also, one bright spot was freshman Chloe Parks playing her first varsity game. She shipped in 7 points and brought energy on both ends.”

Kiersten Swain led G-A (3-7) with 9 points. Reece Meckley tossed in 26 points for Delone (6-2).
