BOYS BASKETBALL
McConnellsburg 57, Northern Bedford County 18. On December 10th, in their home opener, the Spartans defeated the Northern Bedford County (NBC) Panthers in a cross-conference game, led by Brayden Ramsey’s game-high 23 points.
The Spartans (3-0, 1-0 ICC-S) jumped ahead with a 12-0 run and finished the first quarter up 22-5 and on a romp to victory. Early in the fourth quarter, Ramsey hit one of his nine two-point field goals to eclipse 1,000 career points. Hoyt Glenn added 17 points, while the Spartan defense held the Panthers’ top three scorers, averaging 40 ppg, to just eight combined points, with the top shooter (20 ppg avg.) held scoreless.
