The Southern Fulton Indians took another step forward in their strong season start, earning a hard-fought 43–37 victory over the Tussey Mountain Titans on Thursday night. The game was tight from start to finish, with both teams battling defensively and trading momentum throughout. Both teams only allowed 16 points at the half. After halftime, the Indians exploded with 17 points and held the Titans to 9.
Junior standout Harvey led the Indians with 21 points, continuing her impressive early-season form. She attacked the basket and provided crucial scoring to help secure the win. Freshman Hull added 18 points, giving Southern Fulton a reliable second scoring option and knocking down key shots when the Titans tried to close the gap. Hull had a big 4th quarter scoring 8 of the 10 team points.
Southern Fulton’s balanced effort proved to be the difference, allowing them to hold onto the lead. Our defense seemed unstoppable, and the girls really worked hard for 32 minutes. Hoopengardner had several blocks and Schriever denied the Titans several transition points.
With the win, the Indians advance to 2–0 on the season, building confidence as they prepare for their next matchup.
The Indians play Monday, December 8th against Hancock.
