Southern Fulton’s varsity volleyball team put up a strong fight but fell to Everett in four sets (24–26, 20–25, 25–22, 17–25), moving their season record to 10–9.
Claire Harvey delivered 15 kills, 8 service points, and 3 blocks, along with 12 digs and 3 assists in a strong two-way effort. Bailey Hull was equally impactful, tallying 12 kills, 6 service points, and 18 digs. Setter Kennedy Hixon ran the offense with command, recording 24 assists as well as adding 8 service points, and 11 digs.
Defensively, Kamryn Pittman was a force in the back row with 17 digs to go along with 5 kills and 2 assists. Alexis Johnson turned in another solid performance with 5 points, 3 kills, 5 assists, a block, and 13 digs. Elsie Murray came through with 8 service points and 7 digs, while Lakyin Hixson contributed defensively with 5 digs.
In JV action, Southern Fulton fell in two sets (11–25, 9–25), bringing their record to 4–11.
The Junior High A Team earned another win, improving to 13–4 with a hard-fought victory over Everett (25–6, 21–25, 15–12).
Southern Fulton JV/V will travel to Hancock on Monday, 10/13.
