Gettysburg 3, Greencastle-Antrim 1: The Warriors halted a 4-game winning streak by the Blue Devils with a Mid Penn Colonial victory Thursday night at Kaley Field.
“It was a really fun game to coach tonight,” G-A coach Keara Allshouse said. “The entire team left everything they had on the field. We gave Gettysburg (12-6) a challenge and I am very proud of how hard we played.”
Rowan Shubert scored an unassisted goal for Greencastle (8-6, 6-6 MPC). Maggie Spidel had a defensive save and goalie Rebecca Jones made 9 stops.
Allshouse said, “We had some amazing passing combinations as well as some incredible defensive moments, including many stops from (Acacia) Long and (Ava) Linka. We have one game left (hosting Chambersburg on Tuesday) and I know we’ll give it our all.”
Greencastle is right on the bubble for the District 3 Class 2A playoffs.
