CHAMBERSBURG AT STATE COLLEGE
Game data: Trojans at Little Lions at Memorial Stadium, 7 p.m. on Friday … Mid Penn Commonwealth game … Audio only on MidPennBroadcasting.com.

Enoch Keath

Last week: Chambersburg (2-2, 1-2 MPC) was bullied by unbeaten Harrisburg, 49-6 … State College (3-1, 2-1 MPC) handled Cumberland Valley, 24-14.
The opponent: The Little Lions nearly knocked off Harrisburg 2 weeks ago, falling 48-45 in 2 OTs … Last week against CV, QB Connor Kulka had a pair of touchdown throws … For the season, Kulka has completed 51 of 87 passes (58%) for 593 yards and 9 TDs, with one interception … Running back D’Antae Sheffey, back at SC after a year playing for Harrisburg, has 73 carries for 477 yards and 5 scores … Rowan Walker has 28 carries for 184 yards and 1 TD … The top receivers are Daimear Coad (13-274, 2 TDs) and Hank Lustig (10-87, 1 TD).
Coach’s viewpoint: Chambersburg coach Gary Carter said, “It’s a typical State College team — solid all the way around. They have a good running back who is going to Syracuse (Sheffey), the offense is multiple, so you have to prepare for everything, and the defense is solid. We lost another player to injury last week (LB Brodie Robinson), so we now have three two-way starters, plus the quarterback out. But the kids were getting after it in practice and we’re getting better every day. (QB) Cam Green played well in the second and third quarters last week and he’s getting more confident — and the players are rallying around him.”
Unsung: Carter said, “On offense, tackle Brady Lohman (so., 6-3, 265) was up against the Brown kid (Penn State recruit Kevin Brown) and he held his own. On defense, Enoch Keath (sr., 5-9, 230) was getting double-teamed, but he still played well.”
Statistics: None available.

BIG SPRING AT GREENCASTLE-ANTRIM
Game data: Bulldogs at Blue Devils at Kaley Field on Friday, 7 p.m. … Mid Penn Colonial game … Live stream on MidPennBroadcasting.com.

Ethan South

Last week: Big Spring (3-1, 1-1 MPC) defeated Milton Hershey, 37-19 … Greencastle (1-3, 1-2 MPC) fell to East Pennsboro, 21-12.
The opponent: The Bulldogs feature the leading running back in the Colonial Division, Grady Hope (5-11, 175), who has gained 584 yards on 67 carries (8.7 avg.), with 8 touchdowns … Jordan Myers has carried 17 times for 127 yards and 1 TD … QB Chase Fry, also a threat to run, has completed 26 of 47 passes (55%) for 363 yards and 3 TDs … His top target is Ayden Martinez, who has 14 catches for 189 yards and a score … Big Spring has rushed for 943 yards so far.
Coach’s viewpoint: “We like our blocking scheme against their defensive line,” G-A coach Jason Thurston said, “so we think it’s a winnable game. But we’ll have to put together first downs and limit the mistakes we’ve been making. They like to use their three up-front guys to stop the run, so they can drop eight into coverage. On defense, we need to be in the right gap more often. They’ve got some big guys up front that do the blocking for (Hope). They will spread it out, too and take shots deep. It’s Homecoming, and we want to play a good game.”
Unsung: RB Asher Whitson had to fill in for Blake Reuter a few times last week, and may get more carries … Thurston said, “He had a good week of practice.” … Thursday also said that OLB Ethan South is back after a week out — “He wasn’t starting at the beginning of the season,” Thurston said, “but he’s played well and we’ll be glad to have him back.”
Statistics: Greencastle leaders: Rushing — Blake Reuter 44-338 (7.7 avg.), 3 TDs; Lars Galinanes 46-197, 1 TD … Passing — Lane Barry 19-46 (41.3%), 234 yards, 2 TDs, 2 int.; Gavin Logsdon 3-5, 68 yards, 1 TD, 1 int. … Receiving — Wyatt Hull 6-86; Noah Shifflett 4-93, 1 TD; Galinanes 4-32.
