Meyersdale sweeps Southern Fulton

The Southern Fulton Lady Indians dropped a three-set decision to Meyersdale on Tuesday evening, falling by scores of 16-25, 21-25, and 10-25.

Despite battling throughout the match, Southern Fulton was unable to slow down Meyersdale’s steady offensive attack. The Lady Indians showed their strongest push in the second set, staying within striking distance before Meyersdale pulled away late to secure the win.

Claire Harvey turned in a solid performance for Southern Fulton, tallying 5 kills, 3 points from the service line, 2 assists and a team-high 10 digs to anchor the defense. Bailey Hull was a force at the net and in the back row, recording 7 kills, 2 blocks, and 11 digs, while setter Kennedy Hixon directed the offense with 10 assists, adding 3 digs and a service point.

Also contributing for the Lady Indians were Kamryn Pittman with 4 points, 1 kill, and 7 digs; Elsie Murray with 4 points, 1 kill, 2 assists and 3 digs; Lakyin Hixson with 4 points and 2 digs; and Alexis Johnson with 3 digs.

With the loss, Southern Fulton moves to 3-2 on the season and will look to bounce back in their next matchup at Northern Bedford on Thursday.
