Northern York 3, Chambersburg 2: The Trojans opened their season with a narrow defeat against the Polar Bears in Dillsburg on Monday afternoon.

In singles, No. 2 Charlie Kalathas earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 2. Leah Wadel fell 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 and Olivia Keller was defeated at No. 3, 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3.

The Trojans won the No. 1 doubles match, 6-3, 6-3, with the team of Gwen Sefcheck and Gretta Hill. The No. 2 team of Julianna Small and Nina Kuchar took Northern’s Anna Roland and Mary Rivera to 3 sets before losing, 2-6, 6-2, 6-3.
