Southern Fulton (23-1) continues to dance as they punched their ticket into the PIAA Final 4 by defeating Cowanesque Valley 5-0 on Thursday at Bald Eagle Area High School.
After stranding 5 runners the first two innings, Southern Fulton was finally able to get on the board in the third. Colton Mann was able to rush home on a passed ball, making the score 1-0.
Owen Oakman earned the win for Southern Fulton Indians. The hurler surrendered only one hit and zero runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking none. Ayren Morgan took the loss for Cowanesque Valley Varsity Indians. The starter went three innings, surrendering one run on four hits, striking out two and walking four.
Oakman, the number eight hitter for Southern Fulton Indians, led the way with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-2 on the day. Austin Mann led Southern Fulton Indians with two hits in three at bats. Fitz led Southern Fulton Indians with two walks. Paul Hendershot and Brooks Norris both had RBI singles in the 5th as well.
SoFo will take on Nativity BVM in the State Semifinal on Monday, 9 June at a time and location TBA.
