Southern Fulton easily dispatches Rockwood to claim 12-0 Victory and ICC Championship. 

A triple by Mark Fitz put Southern Fulton (18-1, 7-1) on the board in the bottom of the first 2-0.   The Indians did not look back and cruised to an easy victory.

A fielder’s choice by Colt Mann, and an error helped the Indians extend their lead to 5-0 in the second.

Southern Fulton scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the third inning. Brooks Norris drew a walk, scoring one run, Colt Mann singled, scoring two runs, and Jett Burger singled, scoring two runs.

Joel Fitz earned the win for Southern Fulton. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking four. N Shaw took the loss for Rockwood. The reliever went one and one-third innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out one and walking three. C Brown stepped on the mound first for Rockwood Rockets. The starting pitcher gave up five hits and 10 runs (four earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking five.

Colt Mann went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Kaiden Schriever and Mann each collected two hits for Southern Fulton.

Southern Fulton  will conclude their regular season at Southern Huntingdon County on Thursday.

Semifinals: Pitching Impressive As Southern Fulton Indians Beat Mount Union Trojans in ICC Semis

Mt Union and Southern Fulton were strong on the mound on Wednesday at Claysburg in the first of two ICC semifinal games.  The South Champion, Southern Fulton  (17-1, 7-1) defeated the East champion, Mount Union Trojans 3-1 to punch their ticket into the Championship game.

Indians ace, Owen Oakman, started the game for Southern Fulton and Did not disappoint as he recorded 18 outs.

The Trojans broke the 0-0 tie by scoring in the fifth after Julian Weirich doubled down the right field line, scoring one run.

Southern Futon took the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the fifth thanks to run scoring singles by Joel Fitz, and Paul Hendershot.

Oakman surrendered only five hits and one run over six innings, striking out six and walking two. Davin Yocum started the game for Mount Union. The lefty pitcher surrendered six hits and three runs over six innings, striking out three and walking none. Paul Hendershot took over for Oakman to start the 7th inning.  He recorded 3 outs in 4 batters to earn the save.  The hurler allowed zero hits, striking out none and walking one.

The Indians’s Oakman, led Southern Fulton with two hits in three at bats. Joel Fitz led Southern Fulton Indians with two runs batted in with a bases loaded single.  The center fielder went 1-for-3 on the day. 

Weirich led Mount Union Trojans with one run batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Dylan Shawver, Abe Weirich, Cody McClain, Georgie Bilger, and Weirich each collected one hit for Mount Union Trojans.
