CRESAPTOWN, Md. – The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers wrapped up the top seed in the Mason Dixon Christian Conference playoffs by finishing in a 2-2 tie at Calvary Christian Tuesday.
The Blazers got goals from freshmen Kaitlyn Garvin and Addison Teal.
“After taking a 2-1 lead early in the second half, we ended in a 2-2 draw after double overtime,” Blazers coach Tim Hott said. “We had some chances to finish off the game, but we were kept out of the net by the goal post and crossbar several times. I am very proud of the team as we end the regular league season undefeated and the No. 1 seed.”
The Blazers, who finished the regular season 8-1-1 (5-0-1 MDCC), will play in the MDCC semifinals next week.
