Southern Fulton is Victorious Over McConnellsburg

Southern Fulton defeated McConnellsburg 5-3 on Tuesday to improve their record to 15-0, 6-0.

The Indians struck first in the opening frame after a Paul Hendershot single and a stolen base was followed by a Mark Fitz single which scored him from 2nd.

McConnellsburg took the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the first thanks to singles by Kaden Marpoe, and Tucker Hedge.

Brooks Norris hit a sacrifice fly, which helped Southern Fulton tie the game at three in the top of the fourth.

Southern Fulton captured the lead, 5-3, in the top of the fifth after Colt Mann hit a sacrifice fly, and Austin Mann singled to center field, each scoring one run.

Trentin Cain earned the win for Southern Fulton. The Jr pitcher was thrust into action after starter Paul Hendershot had to be removed due to an injury.  The lanky righty gave up zero hits and zero runs over six and one-third innings, striking out six and walking one. Kohen Hall took the loss for McConnellsburg. The pitcher went one inning, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits, striking out two and walking one.  Kaden Gress began the game for McConnellsburg. The hurler surrendered five hits and three runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking one.

FR, Colt Mann led Southern Fulton with two hits in two at bats. Fitz, Jett Burger, Mann, Norris, and Mann each drove in one run for the Indians.  

Southern Fulton will travel to Fannett Metal on Wednesday for a 2pm start.
