GIRLS SWIMMING
Chambersburg 67, Trinity 23; Chambersburg 77, Halifax 7: The Trojans hosted a tri-meet Tuesday afternoon at Chambersburg YMCA and swept past the Shamrocks and the Wildcats in non-league action.
Chambersburg, which closes its dual meet season with a 9-3 record, won all but one event.
Trojan coach Hali Cormany said, “It was a great final meet for the girls. I’m really proud of the seniors and their hard work over the years. The girls are getting excited for Mid Penns this weekend and the Polar Plunge the next weekend.”
Ava Grove was a double winner in individual events for Chambersburg, taking the 200 IM in 2:46.66 and the 100 freestyle in 1:08.61.
Five other Trojans posted victories, including Calla Hoffman (200 free, 2:18.30), Brooke Reichelderfer (100 butterfly, 1:24.51), Lilly Evans (400 free, 5:13.22), Kayla Wolfe (100 backstroke, 1:22.10) and Lauren Markle (100 breaststroke, 1:31.36).
First-place relay teams included Evans, Grove, Reichelderfer and Markle in the 200 medley (2:26.75), Markle, Graciana Clark, Wolfe and Evans in the 200 free (2:09.63) and Reichelderfer, Wolfe, Tatianna Mason and Grove (4:51.95).
BOYS SWIMMING
Chambersburg 67, Trinity 27; Chambersburg 77, Halifax 13: The Trojans closed out their dual meet season with two victories Tuesday afternoon, over the Shamrocks and Wildcats, in non-league meets at Chambersburg YMCA.
Chambersburg, which finished 10-2, won eight of the 11 events.
Winners of individual events were Griffin Adamek in the 200 IM (2:34.06), Amir Tasker in the 50 freestyle (26.01), Xavier Covington in the 100 butterfly (1:05.83), Alex Kaczmark in the 100 free (56.76) and Cullen McGraw in the 300 free.
The Trojans also finished first in all three relays, including the 200 medley in 2:01.84 (Covington, McGraw, Kaczmark and Tasker), the 200 free in 1:49.54 (Tasker, Kaczmark, Covington and McGraw) and the 400 free in 4:10.61 (Tasker, Kaczmark, Covington and McGraw).
