Chambersburg roundup: State College down Trojan girls

State College 63, Chambersburg 27: The Trojans kept pace with the Little Lions for a quarter, but were outscored 43-11 in the middle two periods and dropped a Mid Penn Commonwealth decision on Monday night at CASHS Field House.

State College (13-4, 9-3 MPC), which held Chambersburg (3-13, 2-9 MPC) to just 10 points the first time the teams met this year, played good defense again, allowing only 15 points Monday in the last 3 quarters.

Riley Evans reached double figures with 10 points for the Trojans and added 9 rebounds. Maddie Mills scored 6 points and had 4 steals and 3 boards. The team committed 27 turnovers.

For the Little Lions, Sienna Wilson led with 15 points and Jessica Hawbaker added 14.
