The Shalom Lady Flames had a dominant performance in front of a packed home crowd, defeating the Cumberland Valley Christian Lady Blazers 50-17.
Shalom took an early lead with three-pointers from Addison Adams and Maya Lehman, setting the tone. The Flames ended the first quarter with 18 points while limiting the Blazers to just 2. The momentum continued into the second quarter with another 15 points for Shalom, resulting in a commanding 33-4 lead at halftime.
Although the Blazers played strong defense early in the third quarter, the Flames’ experience took over as they extended their lead in the second half. The game provided valuable playing time for Shalom’s young players, who rose to the occasion. Addison Teal of the Blazers had a standout performance, contributing 11 of the team’s 17 points and playing aggressive defense.
The Flames’ three juniors—Addison Adams, who scored 18 points, Emily Rebok, who scored 13, and Maya Lehman, who scored 9—continue to power the Flames’ offense this season. Despite missing junior Kaitlyn Thomas, Julianna Myers stepped up with crucial rebounds and strong interior defense. Freshman Sydney Moore got the start and made a significant impact with 6 points and good defense, while classmate Chloe Gearhart added 4 points off the bench.
Next up for the Flames is a quick turnaround as they face the Southern Fulton Lady Indians at home on Saturday at 3:30 PM.
