Everett Avenges Early Season Loss to Fannett-Metal

The Tigers and Warriors played on December 19th in a tightly contested game, with the Tigers hitting a buzzer-beater in a dramatic 52-51 victory.  The rematch on Thursday evening held no such drama as the Warriors took control of the game in the opening period and cruised to a 64-44 victory over the visiting Tigers.  A lackluster first half for the Tigers found them trailing 37-22 at the half.  Although the Tigers played a little harder in the second half, the damage was already done as the Warriors rolled to the ICC South League victory.
Landon Arnold led the Tigers with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.  Evan Wingert scored 9 points and had 3 steals.  Broc Hostler chipped in 9 points while Jake Coffman added 5 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds.  Tucker Seibert added 2 points.
The Tigers had 12 turnovers in the game, while the Warriors had 11. The Tigers’ Achilles heel continues to be rebounding, as the Warriors dominated the glass with too many offensive rebounds, leading to easy points. The Warriors had 20 rebounds, while the Tigers had 12.
The Tigers lost a 67-64 ICC South contest to visiting Southern Fulton on Tuesday evening.  The Indians Teagen Ritz drilled a 3 pointer with 3 seconds to go to secure the Indian victory.
