Waynesboro 60, Greencastle-Antrim 50: The Indians put the game away by outscoring the Blue Devils 14-5 in the third quarter of a Mid Penn Colonial rivalry game Tuesday night in Waynesboro.
It reversed an earlier 58-39 G-A win over Boro (8-7, 7-3 MPC). Greencastle falls to 5-10 (3-6 MPC).
Carter McCauley had a big night for Greencastle, putting up 24 points — he has scored 20 or more points in 3 of his last 6 games. Teammate Alex Albright helped out with 16 points.
For the Indians, Rayshawn Hewitt knocked down 23 points and Nate Nystrom supported him with 16 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Waynesboro 51, Greencastle-Antrim 42: The Maidens lost by 21 points to G-A earlier in the year, but turned that result around on Tuesday night, beating the Blue Devils in a Mid Penn Colonial contest in Greencastle.
The Blue Devils ((6-9, 4-5 MPC), who have dropped 4 of their last 5 games, scored just 2 points in the first period, while Waynesboro (7-7, 5-5 MPC) scored 14, including 9 by Breanna McIlquham. G-A went 1-for-9 from the field and committed 9 turnovers. In the first half, the Devils were 3-for-23 from the field.
Greencastle outscored ‘Boro in the final 3 quarters, but couldn’t cut the lead to any fewer than 6 points. Genesis Alvarez hit some key shots and the Maidens made 9 of 13 free throws in the fourth quarter.
Kiersten Swain led the Blue Devils with 11 points and 4 rebounds. Ellie Bigler had 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Brooke Guthrie had 3 boards and 2 assists. McIlquham tallied 23 points and Alvarez added 14 for Waynesboro.
