The Shalom Lady Flames earned a hard-fought 34–29 victory over the Lady Bobcats from West Shore Christian Academy. The two teams battled fiercely throughout the game. The Flames took a two-point lead in the first quarter and outscored the Bobcats by three in the second, heading into halftime with a five-point advantage. Although they ultimately won by that margin, it took clutch plays down the stretch to secure the win. Addison Adams and Maya Lehman each made crucial baskets in the final three minutes, and Kaitlyn Thomas added a key free throw to hold off the Bobcats on their home court.
Adams led the Flames with 20 of their 34 points, while Lehman contributed 5 points and Thomas added 4. Despite an off night offensively, the Flames’ defense delivered an exceptional performance. The Bobcats hit three quick three-pointers midway through the fourth quarter, closing the gap to just one point. However, the Flames’ defense, aided by freshman Sydney Moore’s length at the top, locked down the Bobcats and held them scoreless for the final three minutes, sealing the road victory.
With this win, the Flames, currently in second place in the District 3 AA power rankings, set up a key matchup against the third-ranked Camp Hill Lions. The game will take place on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Camp Hill.
