BOYS BASKETBALL
Greencastle-Antrim 57, Shippensburg 46: The Greyhounds tied the game at 30-30 early in the second half, but the Blue Devils went on a 9-0 run and gradually pulled away to capture a Mid Penn Colonial victory on Friday night on the road.
A 10-point second quarter by Ship’s Gamble Zeger got his team back in the game, and when the Hounds scored the first 6 points of the third quarter, it was tied up. But Alex Albright hit a 3-pointer and another basket and Avery Horst and Noah Parks each scored to put up 9 straight points.
In the fourth period, Albright and Carter McCauley hit shots to increase the lead to 52-42. Greencastle (4-5, 2-3 MPC) then closed out the game playing a little keep-away on offense and making 5 of 6 free throws down the stretch.
The Blue Devils made 5 of its eight 3-pointers in the first period, including 3 by McCauley and 2 by Landen Swain. McCauley (15), Swain (14) and Albright (13) each hit for double figures. Zeger led Shippensburg (0-9, 0-5 MPC) with 14 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Greencastle-Antrim 54, Shippensburg 47: The Blue Devils scored the first 7 points of the game and never trailed in a 54-47 Mid Penn Colonial win over the Greyhounds on Friday night at G-A.
Near the end of the first half, Greencastle (5-4, 3-2 MPC) had an 8-0 run keyed by 5 points from Lexi Nelson. The Blue Devils were ahead by 9 points after 3 quarters, then a jumper by Callie Izer and a 3-pointer Eva Martin made it 43-30 and pretty much put the game away.
Martin scored 9 of her 13 points in the final quarter, including 3-of-4 at the foul line, and she added 6 steals. Izer scored 10 points and added 10 rebounds for a double-double. Sophie Fries added 7 boards.
For Shippensburg (3-7, 1-5 MPC), which used a 2-3 zone to help hold G-A at bay (the Blue Devils were just 4-for-21 from 3-point land), Azula Navarro led with 14 points and Peyton Coy scored 8.
