The Shalom Flames earned their second-season victory on Tuesday evening, defeating the Fairfield Lady Knights 47-28 at home.
Shalom started strong, jumping to a 16-7 lead in the first quarter. The Lady Knights stayed within reach by hitting several three-pointers in the second quarter. Still, Shalom’s defense tightened in the third, limiting Fairfield to just four points and establishing a lead they would never relinquish.
Maya Lehman led the Flames with an impressive 21 points, while Addison Adams contributed 16. Lehman, Adams, and Emily Rebok showcased exceptional passing throughout the game, keeping the offense dynamic. Kaitlyn Thomas controlled the boards with a team-high five rebounds, and Sydney Moore provided valuable minutes off the bench.
The Flames’ defense was key, holding the Lady Knights to under 10 points in three of the four quarters.
