Blazers win 2 of 3 matches

The Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers took two of three matches in recent Mason Dixon Christian Conference volleyball action.

On Tuesday, Oct. 1, the Blazers (11-9, 6-6 MDCC) defeated Faith Christian 3-1, with game scores of 25-18, 17-25, 25-22 and 29-27.

For the Blazers, Reagan Witmer had 7 kills, 1 dig, 3 blocks and 1 serve reception; Sydney Wiegand had 10 kills, 8 digs and 1 serve reception; Addison Teal had 4 aces, 1 kill, 14 digs and 6 serve receptions; Chloe Smith had 2 aces, 7 digs and 8 serve receptions; Allison Rowe had 1 kill, 7 digs and 14 serve receptions; Gloria Martin had 16 kills, 5 blocks and 5 serve receptions; Kayla Helman had 4 aces, 3 kills and 4 digs; and Kaitlyn Garvin had 2 kills, 8 digs and 28 kill assists.

On Friday, the Blazers defeated New Life Christian 3-1. Game scores were 25-16, 21-25, 25-16 and 25-12.

On Monday, the Blazers dropped a 3-1 decision to Heritage Academy. Heritage survived the first set 28-26, but the Blazers came back with a 25-19 victory before falling 25-12 and 25-17.
