Mechanicsburg 7, Chambersburg 0: The Trojans ran into one of the best teams in the state and suffered a 7-0 Mid Penn Commonwealth defeat at Trojan Stadium on Friday afternoon.
“They have a great program,” Chambersburg coach Kelsey Baker said. “They have two sisters on the U-16 national team and have two other girls going to Shippensburg University. Our girls really hung with them on defense, but they applied great pressure.
“Our goalie, Addyson Hollenshead, had 23 saves in the game and reached a milestone with her 700th career save. Mechanicsburg is very deceptive with their shots, but Addy did a good job of clearing. Also, Malaina Alleman and Madelyn Predko each had a defensive save on the line.”
