Greencastle wins big over Shippensburg

Greencastle 10-12 International All-Stars won their second straight game in West Pool Play and shutout Shippensburg 10-0.

Greencastle ended the game in the fourth inning on the 10-run rule when they scored six runs.  Mayze Gordon doubled home a run, Reed Sholes and Ryan Emlet each produced run-scoring singles, and Kolston Piper ended the game with a two-run double.

Bryce King got Greencastle on the board with a leadoff homer in the bottom of the second inning. Greencastle added another run on an error to take a 2-0 lead.

Greencastle added two more runs in the bottom of the third inning on an RBI groundout by Emlet and a Noah Ambrose single to take a 4-0 lead.

Kolston Piper earned the win for Greencastle, allowing just two hits, striking out three, and walking two.

Greencastle piled up 11 hits in the game. Gordon, Sholes, and Piper each collected two hits apiece.Greencastle will host South Middleton Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Clary Field.
