MECHANICSBURG — The Mid Penn Conference released its spring season all-star teams on Monday and Franklin County had two athletes earn Player of the Year for their divisions.

In softball, Greencastle-Antrim’s Makayla Jerin took POY honors, while Jimmy Bell of James Buchanan was named in baseball — both in the Colonial Division.

A trio of coaches also picked up Coach of the Years awards. In Colonial Division baseball, Shippensburg’s Brian Etter and Waynesboto’s Travis Hardman were co-coaches, while in Colonial softball, G-A’s Mark DeCarli was co-coach with Emily Quatrale of Northern York.

The Mid Penn all-star teams are voted on by the coaches in each division.
