Southern Fulton Indians Fall After Strong Showing By North Star.

Southern Fulton (12-1, 5-0) couldn’t keep up with North Star and fell 7-1 on Tuesday in Warfordsburg.

North Star was able to get on the board in the first when Cayden Turner homered to right field, scoring two runs off of Indian starter Own Oakman. 

North Star added another two runs in the second when

Turner doubled down the right field line, making the score 4-0. Turner earned the win for North Star. The lefty surrendered three hits and one run over seven innings, striking out nine and walking two. Owen Oakman took the loss for Southern Fulton. The right-handed pitcher went four innings, surrendering four runs on seven hits, striking out five and walking one.

Ethan Powell, Jett Burger, and Mark Fitz each collected one hit for Southern Fulton. The Indians turned one double play in the game.

Turner went 3-for-4 at the plate as the pitcher led the team with four runs batted in.

Bryson Durst and Braden Livingston each collected multiple hits for North Star. 

The Indians are back in action on Thursday at Everett.
