Chambersburg rapped out 12 hits and scored in each inning of the five-inning contest and the pitchers allowed only 2 hits in the shutout win.
“There is always concern with 16 days between games, but the girls came to play,” Trojan coach Chris Skultety said. “They were biting at the bit to get out in the dirt and play some ball and it showed.”
Kori Leedy pitched 4 innings and gave up 2 hits and no walks and fanned 7. Saleen Null threw a hitless inning with 2 strikeouts.
Leadoff batter Bree Paetow was 3-for-4 and scored 3 times, Karley Skultety was 2-for-2 with a double and 2 RBIs; and Sam Paetow was 3-for-4 with a double and a pair of runs knocked in.
