BOYS:Forbes Road played Southern Fulton in an ICC South division contest on Friday evening with the Indians winning 54 to 22. The Indians (11-7, 4-2 ICC South) led 16 to 6 after the first quarter and cruised to the victory.
SF Coach Jeremy Hann commented, “The Knepper boy is a handful; we talked about denying him the ball as the key, and even with doing that, he still had a nice night. We need to keep working on the defensive end of the floor and fine-tune it leading into the postseason”.
Trentin Cain led Southern Fulton with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 3 blocks. Jett Burger had 9 points and 5 rebounds. Gaven Mellott had 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. Hunter Ward had 7 points and 3 assists. Ethan Mellott had 6 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Sam Stotler added 6 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.
Jacoby Knepper led the Cardinals with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
Southern Fulton will travel to Fort Hill on Monday night for an out-of-conference matchup.

GIRLS: The Southern Fulton Indians (12-6, 6-1 ICC South) came out slow against the Cardinals Thursday night. The halftime score was 24-17 The Cardinals played hot and seemed to not miss a shot from the field. The Indians turned the tables in the second half outscoring the Forbes Road 28-11 to pull out a 45-35 win.
Coach Wilt commented “We knew coming out of halftime that we had work to do. Forbes is bigger than us so we knew rebounding would be huge. Elder had 8 defensive rebounds and 7 blocks which was essential to controlling their shot opportunities. The girls came out and outscored the Cardinals 19-2 which was the turning point of the game. The third quarter gave us the momentum and confidence we needed to keep the lead. We found our groove.:
Elder had a double double with 17 points, 13 rebounds, 7 blocks, 2 steals, and 1 assist. Harvey had 13 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals. Pittman had 7 points and 1 rebound. McQuait had 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal. Stotler had 2 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. Johnson had 2 points, 2 assists, and 1 block.
