BOYS; Fannett-Metal Metal came to Southern Fulton for an ICC South game on Tuesday night, and was defeated by the Indians 53 to 26.
Southern Fulton (9-6, 3-2 ICC South), never trailing in the ball game, led 15 to 4 at the end of the first quarter, 28 to 9 at the half, and rolled to the win.
The Indians were led by Hunter Ward with 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals. Jett Burger had 11 points, and 4 rebounds. Sammy Stotler had 8 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. Paul Hendershot had 8 points, and 4 rebounds. Trentin Cain had 7 points, and 4 rebounds. Ethan Mellott added 4 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
The Tigers were led by Broc Hostler with 11 points.
Southern Fulton next plays Berkeley Springs at home, Thursday January 25th, in a non-conference game.
GIRLS The Southern Fulton Indians (10-5, 5-1 ICC South) played the Fannett-Metal Tigers away on Monday night. Southern Fulton came out and went up 4-0 off the jump ball and with a steal. Fannett-Metal called a timeout to adjust, but Southern Fulton kept up the intensity. Southern Fulton kept the lead throughout the game and ended the half 41-14.
Coach Wilt said” Wecame out with a new level of confidence this game. We shot the best we have all year and it was nice to see everyone working together and building each other up. We got to rotate different players in and work with them at a varsity level for the majority of the second half. “
Harvey led with 18 points, 6 assists, and 2 rebounds. Stotler had 12 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals. Pittman had 12 points, 7 steals, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 block. Elder had 9 points, 6 rebounds, 9 blocks, and 4 steals. Johnson had 2 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. McQuait had 2 points. Mooreman had 2 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist. Blankley had 2 points. Mellott had 1 rebound and 1 steal.
Southern Fulton’s JV fell 28-19.
