Waynesboro 52, Greencastle-Antrim 24: The Blue Devils may have taken a Mid Penn Colonial defeat at the hands of the Indians on Thursday night, but on a positive note, G-A filled all 13 weight classes after having only a handful of wrestlers last year, and having the program shut down in 2020-21 for COVID.

The young Greencastle lineup — 8 freshmen, 2 sophomores, 2 juniors and a senior — ended up scoring 18 points on forfeits, by Blaine Martin at 107, Chance Zimmerman at 114 and Kahl Cordell at 121.

The Blue Devils’ big match of the day came at 215. Nathan Painter trailed Boro’s Connor Stine 4-1 after one period, but Stine chose down for the second period and Painter turned him quickly for a pin in 2:39.

For the Indians, Clayton Costella (160), Titus Mong (172), Caden Shockey (189), Cort Myers (285), Steven Howard (127), Jayden Rooney (139) and Calvin Myers (145) scored pins.
