BOYS BASKETBALL
Greencastle-Antrim 54, Littlestown 52: The Thunderbolts held a 16-point lead in the first half and still led by 8 after three quarters, but the Blue Devils clawed their way back and took a non-league victory Tuesday night at home.
Littlestown (0-2) surged to a 16-4 lead after one quarter and padded it to 16 points. Greencastle (2-1) chopped it down to 7 points by halftime, but were outscored by one in the third. In the fourth, the Blue Devils turned up the defense and rallied for a 20-10 advantage in the final 8 minutes.
G-A did a better job guarding 6-foot-8 Christopher Meakin in the second half, double- and triple-teaming him, which led to numerous steals, including on the big play of the game.
With the score 50-49 in Greencastle’s favor, the Bolts inbounded the ball with 42 seconds left. After cycling the ball into Meakin’s hands, Eli Sterling cut in front for a steal, and took it up court for a fast-break layup and was fouled. His free throw gave G-A a 53-49 lead with 0:24 left.
Conner Wright led the Blue Devils with 18 points (14 in the second half). Sterling, who had missed the first two games, added 12 and Carter McCauley and Logan Alvey each had 9, with all of McCauley’s coming in the second half.
Meakin had 16 and Zyan Herr had 14 for Littlestown.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Greencastle-Antrim 58, Carlisle 34: The Blue Devils played an excellent second half, outscoring the Thundering Herd 34-13, to pick up a non-league victory in Carlisle on Tuesday night.
Greencastle (3-0) was also productive at the foul line, sinking 24 of 33 free throws.
A late 3-pointer by Eva Martin gave G-A the lead at halftime, 22-21. The Blue Devils scored 18 points in the third and fourth quarters to run away with the win, helped by a strong man-to-man defense.
Haley Noblit led G-A with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 steals, while Martin poured in 19 points and 3 assists.
Also for the Blue Devils, Kylie Kerns had 8 points and 9 boards, and Ainsley Swindell ripped down 15 rebounds and had 5 points.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
2 Blue Devils honored: The Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association announced its All-State lists recently and two players from Greencastle-Antrim were included.
Senior Lily Kauffman, a 5-foot-6 middle hitter, and sophomore Abby Eagler, a 5-9 outside hitter were both named to the Class AAA first team.
They were two of the four District 3 players on the list, and Eagler was one of just two sophomores named.
4 G-A players commit: Four Greencastle-Antrim athletes recently announced their destination for college.
— Claire Paci will run for the cross country and indoor and outdoor track & field teams at the University of Connecticut.
— Haley Noblit has decided to continue her soccer career at Liberty University.
— Briggs Remenick, a member of the G-A baseball team, will play next year for Frederick Community College.
— Landon Huth, a pitcher for the Blue Devils baseball team, will continue to play the sport in college, at Seton Hill.
