G-A captures Manheim Central event: The Blue Devils produced a very positive day Saturday to roll to the championship of the Manheim Central Tournament.

In pool play, Greencastle took first place, tying Susquehannock and beating Lancaster Catholic, Berks Catholic and Sun Valley.

That put the Blue Devils into the semifinals, where they took out the host Barons. In the championship match, G-A defeated Pottsville handily, 25-13.

Abby Eagler piled up 22 kills, 41 digs and 6 aces for Greencastle, and Kylie Kerns came up with 41 assists, 31 digs and 8 aces.

Also for G-A, Brianna Woodring had 40 digs and 3 aces, Lily Kauffman had 17 kills and 3 aces, and Alaina Garling had 35 assists and 5 aces.
