Greencastle’s Swam places 2nd: Greencastle-Antrim’s Cooper Swam posted his best score of the season on Monday afternoon in a Mid Penn Colonial match at Great Cove G.C.

Swam tied for second place with Kellan Smith of Waynesboro, each with a 7-over par 79, one stroke behind the medalist, Kyle Miller of Northern York.

The Indians (22-2) won the team race, 327 to 335 over Northern (22-2), with Shippensburg (16-8) third, G-A (10-14) fourth and James Buchanan (3-21) sixth.

Also for the Blue Devils, Ben Horst tied for 12th with an 86. Abram Stock of James Buchanan had his best score of the year, 80, to tie for fourth with Waynesboro’s Tyler Fortney. Shippensburg’s Mason Fogelsonger was seventh with an 82.

Abby Byers of Waynesboro shot 92 for the best score among the girls.
