Greencastle 11-12 All Stars hit three  three run homers and defeated Pen Mar 15-4  in four innings at Newville Tuesday night to improve to 2-0 In District 14 West Pool play.

Nate Herrmann hit two of the three run blasts. The first one coming in the first to give Greencastle a 4-0 lead and then in the fourth to stake Greencastle to a 15-4 lead. Bradyn Knable hit a three run homer in the second inning.

Herrmann was 3 for 3 with 6 RBI for Greencastle. Dawson Mellott went 2 for 2 for Greencastle. Eleven Greencastle players contributed to Greencastle’s 16 hit attack including doubles from Herrmann, Tucker Mongan and Jackson Barkdolll’s 2 RBI double.

Jed Moore had an RBI double for Pen Mar.

Jordan Beaver, Tucker Mongan and Bradyn Knable combined to allow 1earned run, 3 hits, 2 walks and 8 strikeouts over four innings.

Greencastle will play Shippensburg Thursday night at Newville at 7:00 p.m. Shippensburg is 2-0 in West Pool play with an 18-0 win over Pen Mar and 15-0 over Newville. Both Greencastle and Shippensburg will advance to the District 14 double elimination tournament. The game will be broadcast on Mid Penn Broadcasting.
