Dane Harvey didn’t feel much like getting out on Tuesday, tallying four hits in 4 at bats and leading the Southern Fulton Indians (20-1) to a 18-3 win over Forbes Road. Harvey singled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the third, and hit a 3 run bomb to walk off the game in the fourth.
SoFo got on the board in the first inning. Jett Burger doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
The Indians notched six runs in the third inning. The offensive firepower was led by Burger, Mark Fitz, and Paul Hendershot, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Ethan Mellott toed the rubber for Southern Fulton Indians. The hurler surrendered three runs on three hits over two and a third innings, striking out three and walking 3.
David Knepper led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Forbes Road. Knepper lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing eight hits and ten runs while striking out four.
Southern Fulton racked up 11 hits in the game. Harvey, Fitz, and Burger all managed multiple hits for Southern Fulton Indians.
The Indians will now host Fannett Metal (a 1-0 upset winner over #4 seed Rockwood) in the District Semifinal game on Thursday at 4:30pm
