A three run top of the eighth inning snapped a 6-6 tie and James Buchanan defeated West Perry 9-6 Thursday afternoon,

The Rockets led 6-3 going to the bottom of the seventh inning  but West Perry erupted for three runs to send the game to extra innings,

Hayden Sanchez gave James Buchanan a 7-6 lead with an RBI ground out in the eighth, Jake Miller followed with a two run double to make it 9-6.

After issuing a lead off walk in the bottom of the eighth, Carter Hissong struck out the next three hitters to secure the win for the Rockets.

James Buchanan will host Shippensburg Monday afternoon at 4:15 p.m.
